SUKKUR: The Customs’ intelligence wing in Sukkur has seized 3,000kg black cloves worth Rs1.275 million.
The officials, on the directives of Customs Intelligence Director Tahir Qureshi, increased the monitoring efforts and conducted this operation under the supervision of Assistant Director Mukhtar Shaikh. The accused could not provide any proof of the legal import of the goods.
The accused include Ziauddin Paracha of M/s Jan Traders and Ali Ahmed of M/s The New Shaikh Goods Transport company. The department also calculated the duty and worth Rs0.387 million.
