ISLAMABAD: The Iranian Minister for Economic Affairs and Finance, Dr. Ali Taiebnia visited Prime Minster Muhammad Nawaz at the PM’s House today.
The discussions focused on Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations, with particular reference to the economic dimension. Both sides underscored the importance attached to deeper bilateral relations for increased trade and economic cooperation. Minister Taiebnia is visiting Pakistan to attend the 19th session of the Pakistan-Iran Joint Economic Commission, being held in Islamabad on 8-9 December 2014.
The Prime Minister hoped that the session would open new areas of cooperation, while fortifying the existing initiatives that the two brotherly countries have engaged in so far. The meeting agreed to increase mutual investment and bilateral trade between the two countries. The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Federal Minister for Finance, Mr. Ishaq Dar was also present during the meeting.
