Customs Appraisement issues notice to Enam & Sons due to tax evasion

LAHORE: The Customs Collectorate Appraisement Mughalpura Dry Port has issued recovery notice to M/s Inam Traders Landa Bazar Lahore, under sub section 1 of section 202 of the Pakistan Customs Act 1969.

According to sources of Customs Today, assistant collector issued notice to M/s Inam Traders as the company found involved in tax evasion of Rs 1.6 million in the wake of arrears. Sources said that the above said amount is recoverable from the company since long but company is still failed to clear the outstanding amount.

Customs Appraisement advised to clear the outstanding amount within fifteen days otherwise legal action will be taken against the company.

According to the notice under Pakistan customs act in case of failure in submission of dues customs can attach the bank accounts of the company and seal the immovable properties of the company.

It is necessary to mention here that customs authorities are using all available resources to recover outstanding taxes from companies.
