SCCI to hold Made in Khyber Pakhtukhwa exhibition on May 6-7 at Islamabad

PESHAWAR: Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has planned holding of `Made in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’ exhibition at Islamabad on May 6 and 7, next. “The objective of the exhibition was to portray soft image of the province and to attract foreign investment, says Haji Muammad Afzal, President SCCI.

SCCI said President `Made in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa exhibition was planned to apprise the world community that the terrorism hit province was now back to normalcy and environment was conducive for investment.

“We also want to inform world community that the business community of KP is ambitious for progress and economic growth of the province”, Afzal added.

He said in the two day exhibition, to be held in Islamabad, all the embassies are invited to visit and see the investment opportunities offered by our province. The stalls related to hydle power generation, oil and gas potentials, mineral resources, handicrafts and other industrial products will be set up at the exhibition.

President SCCI said this is second time that such an exhibition is planned and being held in Islamabad. Earlier, last year a similar activity was arranged and the response was very encouraging.

He said meeting arrangements would also be made for any interested investor and representative of business community at the venue of the exhibition.

“We can arrange face to face meeting between any investor and our businessmen or concerned government official”, he added.

President SCCI expressed the hope that the result of the Made in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa exhibition will be very positive and huge investment would be attracted through holding of the event.
