According to Customs Today, Pakistan has imported huge quantity of tomatoes from India through Land Freight Unit of Wagha. Just in two days, 10 to 15 trucks of fresh Indian tomatoes have arrived in Pakistan. After the arrival of the tomatoes, so-called shortage of tomatoes has come to an end in the city and the price of the said item has also stabilized.
The vendors at the makeshift markets told Customs Today that the market committee had fixed tomato rates lower than the price of their purchase.
