Multan Customs foils several smuggling attempts from airport

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan has foiled several attempts of smuggling of non-duty paid cell phones due to effective monitoring at Multan International Airport.

Collector Saud Imran Ahmad has directed Assistant Collector Muhammad Ikram to enhance monitoring of the goods coming from abroad at the Multan International Airport. Multan Customs has carried out special screening of goods and vigilance at Multan airport after receiving credible information that smuggling attempt would be made.

Multan Customs have taken special measures to curtail smuggling attempts by adopting thorough examination of goods from Multan International Airport.

Customs authorities seized 272 smart phones during their various actions at Multan International Airport.

Furthermore customs teams have seized LEDs, liquor, cell phones, gold, currency and other goods from Multan International Airport during their various actions after its inauguration. Multan Customs is handling 126 various international flights from various parts of the world in every week and additional staff has been deputed to prevent smuggling at airport.

Multan Customs is facilitating passengers of the South Punjab coming for travelling without any trouble. Collector Saud Imran tightens scrutiny at Multan International Airport to prevent any attempt of currency, gold and other non-customs paid goods attempt.
