KARACHI: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of the Pakistan Customs has seized a huge quantity of Iranian origin high speed diesel in a raid on Super Highway.
According to the details, the customs authorities received credible information that Iranian origin high speed diesel was being dumped near Super Highway. After receiving the information, a team was constituted under the supervision of the Deputy Collector Ali Raza, who raided the described place and recovered 30,000 liter high speed diesel.
The source informed Customs Today that the culprits used to smuggle the Iranian diesel in buses and tankers and then dumped it at certain places to sell it in different areas of the city.
The raid was conducted with the help of Sindh Rangers to tackle the harsh situation whereas the culprits flew away before the raid of the Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Preventive, added the source.
The recovered thirty thousand liters of Iranian High Speed Diesel (HSD) worth millions of rupees has been taken into the custody and a case has been registered against the culprits as well as investigation has been started to apprehend the culprits.
