FIA arrests 3 over fraud

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday arrested a man for defrauding people.

According to an FIA spokesman, accused Muhammad Altaf, a resident of Samundari (Faisalabad), received Rs 325,000 from a complainant, Muhammad Asif of Faisalabad, on the pretext of sending him to Muscat. Later on, he neither send him abroad nor returned his money. On receiving an application, the FIA arrested the accused.

Meanwhile, the FIA Gujranwala arrested two alleged human smugglars, Sariya Sadique and Umer Sadique, of Mohala Altaf Colony in Gujranwala. Both are stated to be proclaimed offenders. Further investigation was under way.
