Peshawar auction cell generates Rs23.73m during 20 days of May

PESHAWAR: Auction cell of model customs collectorate (MCC) Peshawar earned Rs23.73million during initial 20 days of May of Financial Year 2016-17 under the head of all duty and taxes applied on seized smuggled goods.

Auction cell collected Rs17.15million miscellaneous duty and taxes whereas it earned Rs4.3million total sales tax (ST).

During 1st to 20th of May FY16-17, the auction cell Peshawar generated Rs2.22million total additional income tax (AIT) applied on confiscated goods.
Auction cell received Rs13.32million all duty and taxes during April of Financial Year (2016-17). Peshawar auction cell collected Rs45.49million all duty and taxes during March FY2016-17 whereas auction cell Peshawar did Rs4.60million miscellaneous taxes and surcharges. Auction cell got Rs5.56million sales tax and it did Rs3.13million additional income tax and received Rs0.03million federal excise duty on imports during April FY16-17.
Peshawar auction cell generated Rs35.29million miscellaneous taxes and while it did Rs5.84million sales tax. Peshawar auction cell received Rs4.20million additional income tax whereas auction cell did Rs0.16million federal excise duty on imports.
Peshawar collectorate will hold more auctions during June of FY2016-17 to meet the assigned revenue collection target.
