SANTIAGO: Chilean Customs walked off the job Tuesday morning after a meeting between the Association of Customs Officials (Anfach) and members of Chile’s finance ministry broke down in disagreement over the labor contract. According to Anfach, the two-part labor agreement the union signed with federal officials in May 2015 last November is supposed to provide Customs workers with more personnel at border entry points and airports; reduced hours; and better retirement benefits.
