RTO-II issues guidelines for salaried persons to retrieve passwords, change cell numbers

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued guidelines for the retrieval of passwords, change of cell numbers and email addresses for the taxpayers in case of salaried persons.

It was informed that in case salaried person’s jurisdiction falls under RTO-II, Lahore, no token is required for assessing the NTN.

The individuals were told to provide TRF-01 Form duly filled in case of change of particulars including emails, cell numbers, copy of CNIC, salary slip, or any other proof of employment and authority letter given in the name of attorney in case person can’t appear in person.

It was also informed that person who wanted to retrieve his password, change email and cell number will have to appear in person or he can duly authorize an attorney,.

The RTO also informed the tax lawyers to convey taxpayers to verify their jurisdiction of RTO-II, Lahore are not visible in IRIS software to D E Os of NTN cell. The RTO also sought cooperation and understanding from the Tax Bar Association.
