GB customs receives Rs151m All Duty Taxes from 1st to 25th of May

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) collected Rs151million All Duty Taxes from 1st to 25th of May of Financial Year FY2016-17. Collectorate of GB was closed due to snowfall season from September to March FY2016-17.

According to Assistant Collector GB Akbar Jan, imports from China have started since last month. During said period, most of the consignments came from China through Sost Border which comprised food items and various types of machineries.
Telling the details of duty taxes collected during 1st July to 8th of May FY2016-17, he said the GB got Rs2219.984million All Duty and Taxes whereas GB did Rs892.388million Customs Duty. During above said period, GB earned Rs132.558million Registration Duty.
Model Customs Collectorate of GB generated Rs6.653million Redemption Fine whereas GB did Rs742.296million Sales Tax and GB earned Rs114.444million Federal Excise Duty and received Rs331.645million Income Tax from 1st July to 8th of May FY2016-17.
