PBM disbursed Rs2,183m  during 8 months

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Bait ul Maal (PBM) has disbursed an amount of Rs 2,183 million through its core projects and schemes during July 2016 to March 17.  Rs 1,264 million has been disbursed under Individual Financial Assistance (IFA) programme through Individual Financial Assistance (IFA).  Under this initiative poor, widows, destitute women and orphans were supported for medical treatment, education, rehabilitation and general assistance, official sources Tuesday told APP.  Under ‘Special Friends of PBM’ initiative, Rs 69 million has been disbursed among needy persons.

The projects provided assistance to family who has two or more special children.  PBM gives Rs 25,000 to each family annually having two or more disable members and Rs 10,000 annually for one disable member of a family, they informed.

During the said period, an amount of Rs 29 million has been disbursed under Child Support Programme, Rs 30 million under ‘Institutional Rehabilitation for NGOs’ programme, Rs 318 million under ‘National Centers for Rehabilitation of Child Labour (NCsRCL) and Rs 182 million under Vocational Training Centers.They further informed that Rs 272 million has been utilized for bearing expenses of Pakistan Sweet Homes initiative and Rs 19 million under PBM Great Homes (Old Homes).
