Customs case Ammar frustrates smuggling nearly 130 thousand tablets of “Captagon” pills banned

RIYADH: Customs managed to thwart the case of Ammar two attempts to smuggle the amount of “Captagon” banned pills amounted to (128.312) one hundred and twenty-eight thousand three hundred and twelve tablets hidden inside a private vehicle and the other was submitted to the Kingdom bus through customs.

In detail , Mr. Khaled Romaih Director General of Customs said the case of Ammar that aborted those quantities through two attempts, during the customs observer performance of his duties  provided a bus carrying a number of passengers to perform Umrah and when doing customs procedures for luggage was found on the amount of (77.075) Seventy – seven thousand and seventy – five tablets of “Captagon” banned pills were hidden in a secret way canned food items in an attempt to exploit the facilities offered to the pilgrims, but the vigilance of customs officers were lookout for them. Romaih added that the second attempt was one of the next vehicle of the Kingdom, which was found inside the amount of “Captagon” banned pills amounted to (51.237) Fifty-one thousand two hundred and thirty-seven tablets, hidden inside caches secret cavity “Tablon” vehicle intended for the purpose of smuggling.
