National ICT Internship Programme to get Rs284m

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications (MoIT) would provide Rs 284 million funds for programme, envisioned to give unemployed ICT youth to get professional experience as well as potential for future job placement.

A project has been planned with an aim to impart training by placing 3,000 Information and Communication Technology (ICT) graduate in companies and IT departments of public and private sector organizations for six months’ paid internship. A stipend of Rs 15,000 per month will be paid to an intern. Official sources Friday a total of 30 per cent quota are being reserved for girls and two per cent quota for disabled candidates.
