Faisalabad Customs Intelligence collects evaded tax, release consignments

Faisalabad customs releases consignments after receiving evaded taxes

FAISALABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation released the consignments worth Rs3.00million after receiving the evaded amount of duty and taxes. The said consignments were impounded during the month of May 2017.

The consignments released consist of foreign origin (F/O) Iranian dates worth Rs938756, computers valued Rs997498, air-compressors priced Rs85939, used computers worth Rs414295 and other consignments of computers and LCDs worth Rs534272.

3,000 Iran-bound containers stranded at Karachi port as Hormuz tensions disrupt shipping

The said consignments were confiscated due to evasion of Customs Duty of Rs408755, Sales Tax of Rs1.1million, Income Tax of Rs433975 and Redemption Fine Duty of Rs1.1million during the month of May 2017.

The tax evasion was detected by a team comprising Assistant Director Intelligence Syed Itrat Hussain, Superintendent Saleem Ullah and Intelligence Officer Mansoor Nasir.
