Islamabad ASO impounds worth Rs26.963m 15 offending & NDP vehicles during May

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad impounded 11 offending vehicles (Vehicles used for carrying smuggled goods), four Non-Duty-Paid vehicles and various kinds of smuggled goods worth Rs26.963million during the month of May of Financial Year 2016-17.

According to Deputy Collector Ansir Anis, 11 impounded vehicles are worth Rs9.9million whereas four NDP impounded vehicles value Rs5.36million.
During above said period, the ASO seized various kinds of smuggled goods in different seizures. The goods confiscated during said period comprise foreign origin cloths, food grains, black tea, auto parts, CNG kits, alloy rims, different brands of foreign origin cigarettes and electronic goods.
The ASO Islamabad has geared up its efforts to contribute a handsome amount to the assigned revenue target of the MCC Islamabad for the month of June.
