WASHINGTON: The Governments of Bolivia and Uruguay will strengthen ties with a customs cooperation agreement to be in force on June 15th. The agreement seeks to ease trade, as well as prevent, investigate and halt illegal actions in customs. The agreement, drafted for the coming meeting of the Common Market Group, includes items to regulate cooperation and exchange information to halt illegal trade.
According to the domestic media, the initiative includes aid to find out illegal customs actions. The agreement is part of the 28th Additional Protocol to the 36th Economic Complementary Agreement, signed between Bolivia and the member countries of the Common Market of the South, said the online newspaper La Razon.
