Customs Exports recovers outstanding tax amount from M/s Al-Firdous Garments

KARACHI: Customs Export expedited their efforts to recover outstanding tax amount from defaulter companies.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Export authorities issued many notices to different companies asking them to clear outstanding tax amount to avoid stern action. Sources said that during scrutiny of import data of M/s Al Firdous Garments and Export Company it was revealed that the company availed undue and unnecessarily concessions while importing consignments of ladies grape cloths.

After detecting tax evasion Customs Export authorities issued a final notice to the management of Al Firdous Garments and Export Company to clear the outstanding amount of Rs2,23,000 within seven days to avoid strict action.

After receiving the final tax notice the management of Al Firdous Garments and Export Company deposited the evaded amount of taxes and duties. It is necessary to mention here that as the current fiscal year is going to expire soon Customs Export authorities are using all available resources to recover outstanding amount from defaulters.
