ATTOCK: Provincial Minister for Mines Chaudhry Sher Ali Wednesday said that Punjab Mines Department had collected record revenue of Rs 20 billion this year.
He was talking to newsmen during his visit to Pindigheb. On the occasion Chairman Municipal Committee Pindigheb Aftab Haidri, Chief Officer Malik Ulfat Hussain, Personal Secretary Naveed Akhtar and notables were also present.
He said that in the next financial year record development funds had been allocated for PP 18 to complete development schemes. He said the government was gradually controlling shortfall of electricity. He said that work on Khaur and Ferozwali Water Supply Schemes will be started soon which will cost Rs 200 million and Rs 30 million respectively. He said that construction work on Chakki, Maira Sharif, Malowali road is in full swing while work on Neela Interchange connecting Jangla with motirwa through CPEC will be started soon at a cost of Rs 500 million.
The minister earlier visited Ramzan Sasta Bazar Pindigheb and reviewed arrangements and checked prices of fruit and other edibles. He said the govt had given Rs 9 billion subsidy for these bazaars to facilitate the people.
