Rs5m worth traffic signals, sign boards, Rs10m boundary wall: CDA Chairman reviews progress of work in sector D-12

ISLAMABAD: CDA Chairman has reviewed the progress of uplift work being carried out in the federal capital.

Chairing a high-level meeting at the CDA Headquarters, the chairman reviewed installation of traffic and street signboards in Sector D-12, construction of pre-cast boundary wall between sector D-12 and D-13 and progress of other development activities in sector D-12.

Member Administration and Estate, Member Engineering and senior officers of the engineering wing were also present in the meeting.

The CDA Chairman was apprised that carpeting work on approach road of sector D-12 from E-11 has already been completed while work on installation of traffic and street sign boards in sector D-12 is in progress. He was further apprised that installation of traffic and street sign boards would cost approximately Rs5 million and work on the project was initiated in October this year.

He was further informed that the construction of 6600 ft long and 6 ft high pre-cast boundary wall will cost approximately Rs10 million. He was informed that construction work on the boundary wall will be started soon after the opening of tender and completion of other formalities. Chairman CDA directed the Engineering wing to accelerate the pace of development activities in Sector D-12 to ensure its completion within stipulated time so that residents of the sector could get benefit from these facilities.
