Rs98,839m released for various power, water projects so far

ISLAMABAD: The Planning Commission has released Rs 98,839.233 million against total allocation of Rs 162,583.333 million in annual Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2016-17 for various power and Power projects.

According to the data of Planning Commission, a sum of Rs 74,346 million was released for power sector against total allocation of Rs. 130,867.225 million while Rs 24,293.333 million was released against total 31,716.370 million for water projects.  An amount of Rs.14,000 million was released for construction of Diamer Basha dam, Rs.30,000 million each for 1200 MW LNG based power plants Baloki and Haveli Bahadurshah, Rs196 million for 132 KV Pasinzai Grid station with transmission line (Quetta) and Rs.150 million for 132 KV Sub Statio at Deep Sea Port Gwadar.

Similarly, a sum of Rs1000 million for Darwat dam, Rs1000 million for construction of small storage dams (Balochistan), Rs.9115 million for Kachi Canal Project (Phase-1), Rs.3000 million for Nai Gaj Dam, Rs.500 million for Lining of Irrigation Channels (Punjab), Rs 1550 million for Remodeling of Warsak Canal, Rs700 million for Raising of Mangla dam project and Rs.836.370 million for re-construction of Shahdi Kour dam.

A sum of Rs.500 million was released for Rainee Canal (Phase-I-II), Rs.600 million for Rehabilitation of Irrigation System in KPK, Rs.979.463 million for Remedial Measures to Control waterlogging (Muzaffargarh), Rs.700 million for Basool dam, Rs.1000 million for construction of 100 Delay Action dam in Balochistan, Rs.470 million for Channelization of Nullah Deg (Punjab) and Rs.500 million for Lining of Irrigation Channels in Punjab, Rs200 million for Ghabir Dam, Rs300 million for Kurram Tangi dam and Rs.550 for Makhi Farash Link Canal Project (Phase-II and Rs15 million for Mohmand Dam Project.
