The workshop, organized and facilitated by WCO officials, was attended by seven IT experts representing Pakistan Customs. During the workshop, participants were familiarized with the WCO DM concepts, including its Library and Information Packages.

In his opening remarks, Wajid Ali, Director of the Directorate of Reforms and Automation (Pakistan Customs), noted the importance of aligning the data requirements of Pakistan Customs with the WCO DM in order to support data harmonization at national level and the subsequent development of a National Single Window.

Ali expressed his appreciation for the support of the WCO and HMRC in making the workshop possible.

The workshop included a working session on mapping the national goods declaration and cargo report to the WCO DM. The result of the mapping was used as the basis to develop the “My Information Package” for Pakistan Customs.
