KARACHI: Sindh High Court has ordered the Customs authorities to release a soap consignment.

The importer filed the goods declaration and sought clearance of the consignment as per Valuation Ruling but the authorities demanded and assessed the consignment at enhanced rates determined by the Director Valuation. As the bench has already suspended the enhanced value in many cases, the bench ordered the release of the consignment without even issuing notice to the custom authorities.
