Customs Preventive surpasses revenue collection target of June

LAHOER: Under the dynamic leadership of Collector Customs Collectorate of Preventive Dr Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry, Customs Preventive has not only surpassed the  target of customs duty (CD) but the overall revenue target of all the duty taxes as well assigned for the month of June, 2017.

Sources told Customs Today that the Collectorate has collected Rs1040 million under the head of customs duty (CD) against the assigned target of Rs1030 million. Sources told that the Collectorate collected overall revenue of Rs 3.3 billions in respect of all duty and taxes collected against the assigned target of Rs3.2 billion.

It is necessary to mention here that Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary has congratulated to all the officers of the Collectorate of Customs Preventive on this remarkable achievement.

Sources told that the collector hailed the performance of the Collectorate and advised his staff to use all available resources to recover outstanding tax amount from tax defaulters.

Sources told that Collectorate of Customs Preventive also adopted zero tolerance policy against smugglers. Sources told that during the month of June Customs Preventive showed outstanding performance and seized huge quantity of non duty paid goods and vehicles under the supervision of Collector of Customs Preventive Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary.
