Faisalabad Appraisement collects Rs11571.30m duty, taxes in FY 2016-17

FAISALABAD: The Customs Appraisement Faisalabad has collected Rs11571.30 million duty and taxes during 12 months of financial year 2016-17 against the assigned target of Rs10422.36 million for the period under review.

Sources told Customs Today that the Collectorate collected Rs3029.41 million under the head of customs duty (CD) till June 30th against the assigned target of Rs1854.40 million. While it collected Rs8416.60 million under the head of sales tax (ST) during the period the above mentioned period against the assigned target of Rs8219 million.

Similarly the Collectorate collected Rs123.50 million income tax (IT) during the 12 months of FY 2016-17 against the assigned target of Rs303 million while it collected Rs1.79 million federal excise duty (FED) from July 2016 to June 2017 against the target of Rs45.96 million.

Over all the Collectorate collected Rs11571.30 million duty and taxes against Rs10422.36 million during the 12 months of financial year 2016-17.

The sources further said that Collector Muhammad Sadiq has instructed all the staff from top to bottom to put maximum efforts to meet next financial year’s targets with best efforts.
