Islamabad IG requested by Customs for handover of impounded vehicles

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad requested the Inspector General of Police Islamabad Capital Territory for handing over the impounded Non-Duty-Paid vehicles (NDP).

The collectorate has initiated the correspondence with the IGP Islamabad office. It has been learnt that a number of smuggled NDP vehicles have been impounded by the Police Department.

The sources stated that the collectorate therefore asked the police offices concerned to kindly deposit all such vehicles into the Customs State Ware House (SWH) of the MCC Islamabad located at Plot No 281-282, Golra Service Road, G-12/4 Islamabad, so as to earn some revenue from the auction.

The collectorate of the MCC Islamabad is highly expecting the cooperation of the IG Office in this regard, the sources told.
