Peshawar Dry Port receives Rs1402m surplus revenue during 2016-17 against last year’s

PESHAWAR: The Customs Dry Port Peshawar earned Rs1402.00million extra revenue during the Financial Year FY2016-17 against the revenue collection during the corresponding FY15-16 of All Duty and Taxes.

The Dry Port Peshawar earned Rs7573.58million during FY16-17 whereas the dry port collected Rs6171.46million of All Duty and Taxes during the corresponding FY15-16.
According to details told by Fazle Samad, Additional Deputy Collector Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar, the performance of the Dry Port Peshawar has been satisfactory during FY2016-17. The dry port received Rs2972.31million of Customs Duty (CD) during FY16-17 whereas it did Rs2447.16million under the same head during the corresponding FY15-16.
During FY16-17, the dry port generated Rs2853.64million of Sales Tax (ST) while the dry port did Rs2322.67million during corresponding FY2015-16 under the same head.
