Torkham Customs generates Rs5965m of all duty & taxes during FY2016-17

TORKHAM: The Customs Station Torkham earned Rs5965.00million of All Duty and Taxes during the Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to details told by Additional Deputy Collector Fazli Shakoor while talking to Customs Today, Torkham received Rs1574.30million of Customs Duty whereas it did Rs112.48million of miscellaneous duties and surcharges during FY16-17.
During above said period, the Torkham Customs Station collected Rs22.48million of Redemption Duty (RD) on Imports while it did Rs46.65million of Extra Development Surcharge (EDS) PAK. Torkham generated Rs185.07million of EDS as (FE).
Additional Deputy Collector told CT that during FY16-17, Torkham earned Rs1444.63million of Sales Tax (ST) whereas it did Rs203.09million of ST on Imports. Torkham got Rs1440.25million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) and it did Rs936.55million under head of AIT Exports.
