62 immigration counters to be set up at New Islamabad Airport

Rawalpindi: A summary has been prepared for building 62 new immigration counters in new Islamabad Airport for facilitating passengers.

In which, two special counters will be for airlines employees.

According to sources, 12 immigration counters are working in international arrival lounge, 10 in International departure lounge whereas 2 in Rawal lounge of Benazir International Airport. However, no counter is there for airlines employees.

Passengers are facing problems and International airline employees have complained about the smuggling of cigarettes, mobiles and other stuff.

Though, administration of New Islamabad Airport has planned to build 62 new counters in the airport. According to which, 30 new counters will be built in international departure lounge; 30 in international arrival lounge whereas 2 for airline employees.
