DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Customs Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Dera Ismail Khan impounded six non duty paid vehicles worth of Rs7.7 million from July 1st to July 10th of Financial Year (FY) 2017-18. The ASO DI Khan is working under Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar.
Deputy Collector Zakir Muhammad told Customs Today that the DI Khan ASO showed outstanding performance during above said period and seized NDP vehicles. He said that during initial 10 day the ASO impounded Toyota Fielder model 2001 because of its NDP status, he said that the seized NDP Fielder vehicle’s worth was estimated at Rs.1.5 million.
He said that during the above said period the ASO DI Khan seized another Toyota Fielder model 2002 in Rs.1.6 million whereas the ASO DI Khan seized Vitz Model 2002 worth of Rs.0.9 million. He said that the ASO seized Passo Model 2005 in worth of Rs.1.2 million.
The Deputy Collector ASO Peshawar told that during initial 10 day of July 2016-17 the ASO DI Khan seized the 3rd NDP Fielder with Model of 2002 worth Rs.1.6 million whereas the ASO seized 1993 Model Toyota Corolla car with status of NDP the worth of seized vehicle is estimated Rs.0.9 million.
Deputy Collector said that Customs Collectorate is specially focused on NDP vehicles and trying to enhance their coordination with KPK police to directly hand over the NDP vehicles to customs department if they intercepted any vehicle with status of NDP.
