ASO seizes smuggled goods, vehicles worth Rs.4.57m during first week of July

ISLAMABAD: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad seized various type of smuggled goods and two body changed non duty paid vehicles worth Rs.4.57 million during first week of new financial year July (FY) 1st to 10th July FY2017-18.

Deputy Collector ASO Ansir Anees while talking with Customs Today she said that during the said period the ASO Islamabad showed satisfactory performance adding that during 1st to 7th July the ASO impounded two NDP vehicles worth of Rs.3.54 million whereas the ASO seized 988 kilograms of foreign origin fabric  worth of Rs.0.5166 million.

She told that during first seven days of new Fiscal Year 2017-18 the ASO seized 600 kilograms of black tea  worth of Rs0.189 million as far as the ASO seized 21 tyres and tubes of different sizes in worth Rs0.0982 million. She added that during the said period the ASO Islamabad seized 50 dandas of fake foreign origin cigarettes worth Rs.0.0262 million.

She said that during the same period the ASO seizes 6 electronic goods  worth of Rs.0.0546 million whereas the ASO seized miscellaneous smuggled goods in worth of Rs0.142 million during initial seven days of new financial year 2017-18.
