Gadoon Customs receives less revenue in 2016-17 than corresponding year 2015-16

GADOON: The Customs Station Gadoon collected Rs94.91million of all duty and taxes during Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to details explained by sources that Customs Station Gadoon, working under the jurisdiction of Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar, earned less revenue than the corresponding Financial Year 2015-16. During the corresponding FY2015-16, the Gadoon earned Rs690.48million of revenue under the head of all duty and taxes.
The sources told CT that during FY2016-17, the Gadoon received Rs37.55million of Customs Duty whereas it did Rs1.27million of miscellaneous taxes. And Gadoon got Rs0.05million of Redemption Duty (RD) during above said period.
The sources further told Customs Today that during FY2016-17, the Gadoon generated Rs3.65under of Sales Tax (ST) while it did Rs13.68million on Import of palm oil. And Gadoon earned Rs7.62million of Additional Income Tax and it did Rs1.09million of total Federal Excise Duty on Imports.
