ISLAMABAD: The visit of the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO) will be effective by all means. It is an honour for Pakistan Customs that a secretary general level person is visiting the country for observing the performance of the Customs Department that how professionally it is working with the adoption of the latest systems like WeBoc and how the customs is struggling to improve the prevailing system.

This was stated by Assistant Collector International Mail Office Islamabad Ali Asad while talking with Customs Today.

He gave his comments on the visit of secretary general after receiving him along with Chief Collector North Tahira Habib. He opined that the visit of Kunio is very important for discussing the new ways to improve the prevailing system. He said that from sitting outside the country no one can understand the actual situation of the developments of Islamabad and the new developments within Customs Department.

He added that the visit of secretary general will provide us with two main things one is that Kunio can tell the world about the actual good condition of the Customs Department and the other is that by attaching with the WCO we can get more revenue for improvement through different trainings and courses held by the WCO.
Ali Asad told CT that Pakistan’s soft image will also be enhanced by the visit of the high profile representative of the WCO.
