Collector Adjudication Mubashir Baig issues notice to accused involved in smuggling

FAISALABAD: The Collector Customs Adjudication Mirza Mubashir Baig has issued a show cause notice to owner of smuggled foreign origin Hino truck Mir Ahmed.

According to the details, Customs ASO Mianwali has confiscated smuggled Hino truck bearing registration no: C-9297 near Mianwali Toll Plaza M.M Road Mianwali. On query driver of the vehicle failed to produce any legal documents regarding import of truck.

The Anti Smuggling Organization superintendent brought the Hino truck to Faisalabad Dry Port for proper verification. The representative produced different GDs in respect of truck. The produced documents were scrutinized and were not found tallied in respect of vehicle.

Therefore,  ASO Mianwali forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication department.  Now Collector Customs Adjudication Mirza Mubashir Baig has issued show cause notice to Mir Ahmed. The collector also directed if the owner fails to provide evidence the case will be decided on the basis of evidence available on demand.
