ISLAMABAD: Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) Account Member Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Bhatti has reserved a decision on M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Limited’s case in which the company had contested a show cause notice issued by the field offices of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The bench heard the arguments in the case for several days and then reserved the decision on it. The bench will announce the decision in coming week.
According to details, M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Limited had challenged a recovery notice issued to it by the LTU, Islamabad. The company had submitted the department had issued the demand notice for the tax year 2013 under provisions of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), officers of LTU including commissioner Inland Revenue, commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals) and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) were made respondents in the case. The case was remanded back to the tribunal by the Islamabad High Court couple of months ago.
