BKIA Customs seizes 40 high-tech Samsung Galaxy mobiles

PESHAWAR: The customs authorities at the Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar recovered 40 Samsung Galaxy mobile sets which were smuggled into the country without paying customs duty. The accused passenger was arrested on the spot.

The passenger was coming from Dubai to Peshawar. After a thorough search of his luggage, the authorities recovered 40 high-tech Samsung Galaxy mobile sets from his possession.

Meanwhile, a farewell ceremony was held in honour of Superintendent Naseer Khan Afridi on his retirement from service at the Custom House Peshawar.

The ceremony was attended by Collector Customs Qurban Khan and other colleagues.

Collector Qurban Ali, on this occasion, paid tributes to the services of Naseer Khan and termed him an honest and dedicated staff member. He hoped that other officers will follow the precedent of Naseer Khan in the line of duty.

The customs staff and Chief Collector bade him a farewell with a tea party which was attended by a larger number of staff members.
