Oman transport: Mwasalat calls for taxi bids

MUSCAT: The government bus operator has invited bids to supply 500 taxicabs in Oman, according to adverts placed by Mwasalat.

In a statement shared across social media, the transportation company ‘Mwasalat’ said: “Within our framework to begin operating our taxi fleet by the end of the year, as based on our Ministry of Transport and Communications permits, ‘Mwasalat’ invites all companies to bid on the opportunity to supply us with their services in multiple fields.”

According to Mwasalat, their fleet is meant to start off with 500 taxis. The services up for grabs are, “Supply of new vehicles, tyres, battaries, fuel, service bundles for the repair of vehicles, periodic maintenance, cleaning services, health insurance for the drivers, thermal insulation, and paint.”

Interested companies are meant to bid on this 500 car client’s attentions between today and the 21st of August.
