LTBA holds seminar on Companies Act 2017, tax issues

LAHORE: The Lahore Tax Bar Association (LTBA) has held a seminar on Companies Act 2017 and tax related issues at the Federal Board of Revenue House to sensitize the tax practitioners and FBR officials on the act.

Justice Shamas Mehmood Mirza of the Lahore High Court was the chief guest on the occasion while a number of tax lawyers and FBR officials participated in the seminar.

On the occasion, speakers said that awareness about the act would enable the stakeholders to understand the setting up of companies and tax related affairs in a better way.

They said that such seminars have always been adding to the abilities of the lawyers and officials concerned.

They added that the current elected body of the Lahore Tax Bar Association should take further steps to hold capacity building measures on customs and tax duty issues.

LTBA president Chaudhary Qamar Uz Zaman, ex-president Farhan Shahzad, Vice President Shahbaz Sidique, General Secretary Abdul waheed, Finance Secretary Rana Mubashar, Joint Secretary Syed Irfan and others were present on the occasion.

At the end of the seminar souvenir was given to the chief guest while the speakers were awarded with the certificates.
