Founder Group urges interested candidates to submit names for LCCI polls by August 20

LAHORE:  Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Founder Group has announced August 20 last date for candidates interested to contest LCCI election 2017-18 to enroll their names with respective committees for corporate and associate classes.

According to the details, the group would scrutinize the name in five to six days period and finally the candidates would file their nomination paper with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

The leadership of the group sought nomination from the interested candidates in a meeting held at a local hotel the other day.  The meeting is usually called a month ahead of the election every year to finalize candidates.

Aacting chairman of the group Tariq Hameed asked interested candidate to contact the a committee formed to finalize the candidate.

He said that the candidates must work hard to contest the election so that they could positively contribute to the economic prosperity of the country.

On the occasion LCCI president Abdul Basit highlighted detailed performance as the president and lauded the role played by his whole team for resolve the problems of LCCI.

The group leader Sheikh Asif informed that August 28 will be last date for nomination while September 22, 23 will be the date for elections of corporate and associate class respectively.

Former presidents and vice presidents including Iftikhar Malik , Mian Asharaf, Ijaz Butt,  Shahzad Ali Malik, Farooq Iftikhar,  Main Misbah,  Ijaz Mumtaz,  Shahid Hassan Sheikh,  Kashif Youns Mehar,  Tariq Misbah, Kasif Anwar,  Main Jahangir. Former Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry executive committee member Zeshan Khalli was the chief organizer of the meeting.
