Torkham Station generates Rs233.07m as all duties & taxes during 15 days of August

TORKHAM: The Customs Station Torkham, situated at Pak-Afghan border, earned Rs233.07million of All Duties and Taxes during initial 15 days (1st to 15th) of August Financial Year FY2017-18.

According to details given by sources of Torkham Customs Station that, during above said period, the Torkham collected Rs74.78million as Customs Duty (CD) whereas it did Rs0.20million of miscellaneous duties and surcharges.
The sources told CT that, during initial 15 days of August FY17-18, the Torkham received Rs2.16million of Regulatory Duty (RD) while it did Rs0.33million as Export Development Surcharges (EDS).
The sources further said that, during above said period, the Torkham Customs Station generated Rs46.52million of Sales Tax (ST) whereas it did Rs5.94million as ST on Imports.
Sources added that, during initial 15 days of August FY201718, the Torkham got Rs72.33million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) while it did Rs30.81million as AIT on Imports.
Sources further told CT that the Customs Station Torkham collected revenue amounting to Rs583.73million during the month of July FY2017-18 under the head of All Duties, Taxes and Surcharges.
