The officials started checking the vehicles near the check-post of Jacobabad in Larkana. The ASO team intercepted a vehicle of a local transport company and recovered the abovementioned goods.

The team asked the driver of the vehicle to show the legal documents regarding the possession of the goods, but he failed to do so.

The ASO took into possession the air-fresheners, sewing machines and CPUs following the customs bylaws. After making a seizure report, the said items will be deposited into the state Ware House Sukkur.

The team, comprising check-post Jacobabad-Larkana In-Charge Inspector Aziz Ahmed Katpar, Inspector Agha Nazeer, Inspector Nasarullah Gilal, Inspector Rai Abro, Sepoys, Driver and other staff, thwarted the bid of the smuggling.

The sources said Collector of Customs Akhlaq Ahmad Khattaq advised the officials of the ASO to adopt a zero tolerance against the smugglers who are out to destroy the legal business of the city.

Officials said all possible measures will be adopted to frustrate the smugglings in the region as vigilance has also been enhanced.
