KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited’s commodity index on Tuesday closed at 3,070 points. The total traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at Rs 5.607 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,630, says press release here on Wednesday.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 3.022 billion, followed by WTI crude oil Rs 1.172 billion, currencies through COTS Rs 980.102 million, platinum Rs 195.588 million, silver Rs 174.303 million, copper Rs 27.879 million, natural gas Rs 21.767 million and Brent crude oil Rs 13.108 million.
