Sukkur ASO takes into possession NDP Primo car after receiving tip-off

HYDERABAD: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Customs Preventive Sukkur, has impounded a non-duty-paid Toyota Primo car worth Rs1.5million involving duties and taxes of Rs1.8million during an action.

MCC Hyderabad Collector Akhlaq Ahmad Khattaq received a tip-off that a non-duty paid vehicle is moving on the road. He constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Additional Collector Amir Nawaz Hamid.

The ASO team, comprising Deputy Collector Zam Zam Aman including Inspectors, Sepoys and Drivers, participated in the operation.

The team intercepted the vehicle with registration N0: APP-786 near Shah Abdul Lateef University Khairpur Mirs , Sukkur.

The ASO team deposited the said impounded smuggling Toyota Primo car into Sukkur State Warehouse.

Officials said efforts are on to thwart the smuggling attempts in the region adding that surveillance has been enhanced on roads to keep an eye on the smuggling of non-duty-paid goods and vehicles.
