TORKHAM: The Anti-Smuggling Organization Torkham on Wednesday confiscated nine kilogram of hashish from the possession of an afghan national coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
According to details given by sources of Torkham Customs station that the customs staff was on its routine checking when they found a drug paddler coming from Afghanistan carrying luggage in his hands.
The customs staff intercepted the paddler who was carrying some plastic bags packed with grapes.
During the checking of the bags, the customs staff found the contraband hashish concealed tactfully in the four shopping bags. The estimated value of the seized hashish is Rs0.65million.
The sources told CT that the said seizure of hashish was intercepted after the execution of seizure of over 1.8 million Pak currency notes two days back which were being smuggled into Afghanistan.
