Mianwali ASO impounds non duty paid Toyota Vitz car

MIANWALI: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali has impounded a non customs paid used Toyota Vitz car. The market value of the car is Rs8,65,040 involving customs duty and taxes to the tune of Rs4,15,040.

Sources told Customs Today, that Deputy Collector ASO Mianwali Muhammad Rizwan Khan received information regarding smuggling of the vehicle.  After receiving the information deputy collector constituted a raiding team comprising Superintendent Chaudhary Muhammad Sardar, Azhar Hussain Jafri, Amir Mumtaz Bajwa (inspectors), Muhammad Ashraf havaldar and Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Abdullah, Riaz Ahmed, Muhammad Feroze, Muhammad Anwar (sepoys).

The ASO staff intercepted a car which was coming from Quetta to Islamabad via Mianwali bearing registration no: AAL-335 Quetta model 2003 Silver colour fully automatic remote control and touch system near Toll Plaza M.M Road district Mianwali.

The ASO team asked its owner Khalid Mueed son of Abdul Mueed to produce legal documents regarding possession of the car but he failed to produce the same. After his failure ASO team seized the Toyota Vitz car and registered a case against owner of the vehicle.
