ISLAMABAD: A delegation of CDA Union led by its Secretary General Ch. Muhammad Yasin and President Auragzeb visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry to congratulate the new office bearers of ICCI and gave assurance to cooperate in resolving the CDA related issues of business community.
Addressing the delegation, Sheikh Amir Waheed, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that most of the problems of local business community were related to CDA and CDA Union should play role in resolving such problems that would help in growth of business activities. He said Union should act as a bridge between CDA and ICCI finding out optimum solutions of key issues.
He said Chairman CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz was himself a businessman and has good understanding of the issues of business community, therefore, he should take strong measures to resolve their major problems. He said that the role of CDA employees was important in improving the performance of the civic body and assured that ICCI would support protection of legal rights of CDA employees.
Ch. Muhammad Yasin said that business community was playing key role in the development of the city and assured that CDA Union would cooperate in resolving its major issues. He said close liaison between ICCI and CDA Union would help in achieving common objectives for developing Islamabad as a model city.
He said that due to the bifurcation of functions between CDA and MCI, future of CDA’s 15000 employees was at stake and ICCI should support protection of their rights. It was agreed that both parties should join hands to facilitate the growth of trade and industry.
Muhammad Naveed, Senior Vice President, Nisar Ahmed Mirza Vice President ICCI and Khalid Javed Chairman Founder Group urged that CDA Union should play positive role in resolving problems of trade and Industry. Mian Akram Farid, Zubair Ahmed Malik, Zafar Bakhtawari, Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi, Khalid Chaudhry and others also spoke at the occasion and assured support for protection of legal rights of CDA employees.
