KARACHI: M.T Epic Sicily carrying LPG took berth at Engro Vopak Terminal on Wednesday.
Meanwhile two more ships, Oil tanker Anggreik and Bulk cargo carrier Yasailhan carrying 61,124 tonnes LSFO and 42,713 tonnes Coal also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same day. Berth occupancy was observed at the 59%on Wednesday where a total of ten ships namely APL Charleston, Maersk Kensington, Da Dan Xia, Sinar Kutal, Epic Sardinia, Three Saskias, As Olivia, Epic Sicily, Al-Jassasiya and Lion-M were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload Containers, General Cargo, Coal, Soya Bean Seeds, Phosphoric Acid, LPG, LNG and Furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. A cargo volume of 85,842 tonnes, comprising 66,880 tonnes import cargo and 18,962 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,363 containers (TEUs), (365 TEUs imports and 998 TEUs exports) was handled at the port.
Four ships C.V APL Charleston, M.V Da Dan Xia, M.T Al-Jassasiya and Lion-M sailed out to sea on Thursday morning.
Four ships C.V Mehuin, M.V Achilleas-S, M.T Tomson Gas and Anggreik carrying Containers, Coal, LPG and Furnace oil are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-4, EVTL and FOTCO respectively on Thursday, while three more Container ships Hansa America, Prosper and San Francisca are due arrive at PQ on Friday.
