Business community for promulgating new rent law

ISLAMABAD: Business community has urged the government for promulgating a new rent law in the federal capital in order to promote the business activities as well as to address different issues being faced by the traders.

In a statement President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Shaikh Amir Waheed said that draft bill of rent law was pending in parliament.

He urged the government for playing role for its early enactment. He said ICCI would hold a meeting with Chairman Capital Development Authority for resolving key issues of business community.

Talking to a delegation of Markazi Amjuman-e-Tajiran and Traders Action Committee, (TAC) Islamabad led by Ajmal Baloch, he stressed that ICCI and TAC Islamabad should make joint efforts for redress of key problems of traders.

TAC delegation visited ICCI to congratulate the new office bearers of ICCI. Speaking on the occasion ICCI head said that due to absence of rent control act in Islamabad, traders were feeling insecure about their future.

Ajmal Baloch, President, Markazi Amjuman-e-Tijaran and Traders Action Committee peaking on the occasion hoped that the new office bearers of ICCI would play effective role in resolving key issues of trading community.

He assured that TCA Islamabad and market unions would extend all possible cooperation and support to chamber for redress of problems of traders.
