ATIR postpones hearing of case filed by M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Ltd

ISLAMABAD: Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) Account Member Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Bhatti dated in office hearing of tax matter filed by M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Limited after submission of record by the counsels.

Earlier, the bench had issued notices in the case. The appellant had contested show cause notices issued by the field offices of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

According to details, M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Limited had challenged recovery of issued to it in head of outstanding income tax by the LTU, Islamabad.

Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited had submitted the department had issued the demand for the tax year 2013 in head of income tax under provisions of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), officers of LTU including Commissioner Inland Revenue, Commissioner Inland Revenue (Appeals) and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) were made respondent in the case. The case was remanded back to the tribunal by the IHC couple of months ago.
